Dear Comrade Kim Jong Un!
I appeal to you, the leader of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK Socialist state.
In the numerous Statements made by the DPRK Foreign Ministry, NDC, the Supreme Command of the KPA and the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea that we had received in March of this year from the Embassy of the DPRK in the Russian Federation, they have stated the heightening of tension on the Korean Peninsula in connection with the large-scale U.S. military exercises near the border with the DPRK with the demonstration of the modern means of nuclear war and regular provocations against the DPRK in order to initiate a response from the DPRK.
In the Statements of the Central Committee of the AUCPB, we have repeatedly reaffirmed our continued support to the leadership of the DPRK’s Songun policy, their conducting of their own research in nuclear and the necessity in any research study to test in practice these studies. For this reason, we have supported the DPRK underground nuclear tests. We have welcomed the launch of space satellites in the direction of space exploration. We have supported the establishment of the DPRK's nuclear shield, as the only way to protect the current conditions of peaceful labour of the DPRK citizens from any aggressor.
We understand the complexity of the conflict between the DPRK the United States at the present time and the open U.S. desire to destroy the DPRK and its socio-political system, elected by the people of the DPRK. We strongly condemn and denounce the provocative U.S. policy towards the DPRK and the brutal embargo, which has been carried on by the U.S. for more than sixty years. Today, the U.S. has become the world's policeman, trying to get all countries to think and act as pleases the U.S., and yet destroying any political leader and country daring to assert their own right to self-determination of their policies. We condemn the ongoing policy of the UN Security Council on adopting on the request of the U.S. countless so-called resolutions increasingly complicating the situation with the DPRK.
But we do not support the recent militant tendency in the DPRK in reference to a pre-emptive strike on the U.S., as the governing structures of the DPRK have repeatedly in March informed the world. Such Statements by the DPRK is exactly what the United States has long sought - to hang a label on the DPRK as the aggressor and blame the DPRK for the current volatile situation on the Korean peninsula. In other words – to blame the DPRK for the worsening situation, thus removing responsibility from itself – the U.S., and this is totally unacceptable because it does not correspond to reality. Moreover, it is the United States’ cherished dream to blame a socialist state for aggression and a way to discredit the very idea of socialism on a world scale. To succumb to the provocations of the U.S. means to help them in their fight against the world communist movement, to help the U.S. to extend the existence of the criminal capitalist (under imperialism) system, now in a deep crisis.
A pre-emptive strike launched by any of the opposing parties will mark the beginning of a local war, inevitably developing into a world war involving nuclear weapons that cannot be underestimated.
We turn to you, Dear Comrade Kim Jong Un, in calling for perseverance, and restraint and not allow unacceptable prevalence of emotions over cold reason. This perseverance, restraint and not allowing unacceptable prevalence of emotions over cold reason was always the case and dominant in the politics of the Great Kim Jong Il.
The whole world holds its breath, waiting from YOU a correct political decision to resolve a daunting situation on the Korean peninsula, caused by fault of the U.S. and the UN Security Council.

At the moment, because of the constant provocations by the U.S. against the DPRK, the United States, the use of sophisticated attempts to in any way force the DPRK to respond to the actions of the U.S. and South Korea, the Korean Peninsula has come close to a dangerous line of open hostilities between the opposing sides - the U.S. and the DPRK. The presence of nuclear weapons in both countries makes it possible to they can be used it in this confrontation. This means that the world once again by the imperialists is on the verge of a new start of a World War III, only this time, a thermo nuclear war. Obviously, war is the only way to maintain their rule in a state of profound systemic crisis and agony of the imperialist world. To any clear thinking individual, it is obvious that a World War with nuclear weapons will inevitably destroy all life on Earth, and will be the end of civilization.
We call on all people of the Earth, regardless of their political beliefs and orientations, religions and nationalities, race and age, to think seriously about the inevitable consequences of a nuclear war fomented by the U.S., where there will be no winners. This war will affect everyone, regardless of where they live, and their distance from the Korean peninsula.
We call upon all citizens of the Earth to do everything possible to prevent a thermonuclear world slaughter for the criminal interests of the furious and frantic financial tycoons of the world.
We appeal to the UN Security Council - to stop playing the role of an obedient servant of the U.S. and remember their responsibilities as an organization designed to act in the interests of all mankind.
Stopping the crazed American aggressors and preventing another world war being started is the duty of all peace-loving peoples of the world and the only chance for survival, which history gives us now.

STATEMENT by the CC AUCPB on the situation on the Korean Peninsula

We have repeatedly stated before that the AUCPB supported and will support the leadership Songun policy of the DPRK. We fully support the DPRK nuclear test and launch of an artificial satellite by their domestic carrier rocket, suggesting the establishment of a reliable DPRK nuclear shield, which is in the current circumstances, is the only real way to protect the country from foreign aggression.
However, we do not support the statement (see below this statement) made by the Foreign Affairs spokesman and other agencies about the possibility of the DPRK launching a pre-emptive nuclear strike against its enemies, as it puts the socialist country on par with the imperialist aggressor – the United States, the instigator of a Third World thermo-nuclear war. The apparent military gains from this will inevitably turn to political defeat on either of the sides who dared to actually deliver a pre-emptive nuclear strike. On the Korean peninsula today in opposing each other, i.e. the DPRK – U.S., what is at stake is not only the life of DPRK citizens, but also those of neighbouring countries, and in the end – the whole of humanity.

U.S. Nuclear Blackmail Will Be Foiled with Stronger Military Counteraction: Spokesman
Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- It is the unshakable will and resolute determination of the service personnel and people of the DPRK to frustrate hostile acts of the U.S. and its satellite forces against the DPRK and defend the sovereignty of the country.
However, the U.S. is still making a foolish attempt to test the DPRK's will and dampen its resolute decision through high-handed hostile acts including nuclear blackmail, failing to properly understand about its rival.
Not content with pushing the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle war drills to the danger line, the U.S. set about making an undisguised nuclear blackmail against the DPRK after introducing mass destructive strike means equipped with nuclear warheads.
In this regard the spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army (KPA) gave the following answer to the question put by KCNA Thursday:
As the KPA Supreme Command already clarified, the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises are evidently dangerous nuclear war drills now under way as part of the most outrageous hostile acts to encroach upon the sovereignty and supreme interests of the DPRK.
This is a vivid expression of the crudest violation of the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA) and all the north-south agreements.
This was precisely the reason why the DPRK took an important decision to totally nullify the AA and declare the north-south declaration on nonaggression and the joint declaration on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula invalid.
The decision reflected the strong will and steadfast determination of the DPRK army and the people to foil the U.S. nuclear war racket with their own nuclear weapons, free from any binding, and wipe out all hostile forces toeing the U.S. policy now that it has become impossible to pin any hope on the validity of the above-said agreements and declarations.
The U.S. is now introducing B-52, nuclear-powered submarines and other nuclear strike means into south Korea and its vicinity in a bid to test the DPRK's will and break its resolute determination.
The flying corps of strategic bombers equipped with nuclear weapons and nuclear-powered submarines serve as "the three major nuclear mainstays" and "the three major nuclear strike means" along with intercontinental ballistic missiles that the U.S. brandishes as means of blackmail as it pleases.
What should not be overlooked is that the U.S. picked up B-52 and nuclear-powered submarines out of these nuclear strike means to send them to the sky above south Korea and its waters for a nuclear strike drill under the simulated conditions of an actual war against the DPRK. The U.S. is openly calling it a strong warning message to the DPRK and is claiming in public that it would continue such threat and blackmail against the DPRK in the future.
But the army and people of the DPRK will never be frightened at such a warning message, threat and blackmail.
The U.S. should not forget that the Anderson Air Force Base on Guam where B-52 takes off and naval bases in Japan proper and Okinawa where nuclear-powered submarines are launched are within the striking range of the DPRK's precision strike means.
Now that the U.S. started open nuclear blackmail and threat, the DPRK, too, will move to take corresponding military actions.
The DPRK's declaration that it will react to the nukes of the enemy with nuclear attack more powerful than them is by no means an empty talk.
The world will clearly see the provocateurs, who hurt the sovereignty of the DPRK, meet a miserable end in the flames of justice kindled by the army and people of the DPRK to defend its sovereignty.

The inevitable squealing and screaming from the United States and its satellites which have a great number of nuclear and other more terrible means of destruction of humanity, will become only confirmation of the importance and the need for further development of this field of science in the DPRK - a sovereign and independent state.
Carrying out the test of a nuclear device on February 12 is both a demonstration of dignified and reliable self-defence of the peaceful work of the citizens of the DPRK in the face of the state and its armed forces, against any attack from outside.
We wish the best of luck in the future development by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in its nuclear research, which is a powerful deterrent to the U.S. unleashing World War III in this region of the world.

IN MEMORY OF GREAT KIM JONG IL
On December 17, 2011, the leader of the DPRK, outstanding statesman and politician of the late twentieth and early twenty-first century passed away suddenly, after having for more than 20 years led the life of the country, and managed in a short time to do so much that the country under him not only defended its sovereignty in a severe economic, political and media blockade imposed by the United States and its satellites, but also did not allow the U.S. to ignite the fire of a new world war, starting in Northeast Asia.
Under the leadership of Great Kim Jong Il, according to his plan of restructuring the economy in the interests of the people, and not having sufficient arable land (due to the mountainous topography of the surface of North Korea), the DPRK was able to:
- create highly mechanized agriculture to re-cultivated crop lands
- master a vast territory of salt marshes previously unsuitable for agriculture
- introduce new varieties of agriculture crops,
- set up fruit farms on the slopes of hills and mountains,
- develop grazing and build goat farms,
- Organized commercial fisheries of highly valuable species of fish, and more.
Thanks to the leadership of Great Kim Jong Il, the country had largely solved the food problem, having becoming fully independent from the supply of food from abroad.
Huge transformations have been carried out in industry, both in heavy industry (in particular - the production of steel by a new technology, developed by Korean scientists), and in light, chemical and other industries.
Under Kim Jong-Il, a powerful energy base was created by way of the construction of a mass of hydro-power plants on small rivers as well as on artificial reservoirs.
Kim Jong-Il lived for the people, tirelessly working for their benefit, for continuous improvement to housing in both urban and rural cooperatives. The issue of housing today in the DPRK has been completely solved by the state – every family lives in a comfortable separate apartment (or house), and newlyweds receive the keys to a new apartment if they wish to live separately from the older generation. The issue of universal compulsory secondary education has been completely solved, and all students receive a state grant and free food within the walls of a university, and children attend pre-school or comfortable kindergartens free of charge as all costs undertaken by the state. At a high level, with the latest achievements in world medicine, using medical equipment and the latest generation of national traditional Korean medicine, great advances have been made in the field of health. Great attention is paid to the environment (Korean towns and cities are the cleanest in the world according to the degree of air pollution, especially with regard to Pyongyang).
The armed forces, the flesh of the people created by the Great Leader and fostered by Great Kim Jong-Il, not only vigilantly guard over the peaceful labour of the DPRK citizens, but also actively participate in the creation of the future of society.
But in our view, one of the main issues successfully solved thanks to the leadership of Great Kim Jong-Il, has been the development in aerospace research and the launching of satellites into space. Thanks to the wise leadership of Great Kim Jong Il, the DPRK has become a world nuclear power. Thus now, the possibility of pre-emptive nuclear strike on the DPRK by the U.S. has been removed, which the Americans constantly threatened the DPRK with during the 60 years since the ending of the Great Fatherland Liberation War of 1950-1953, which ended in defeat for the United States. The successful launch of the Earth satellite on 12 December 2012 produced a shock in the Western world and scared the instigators of a new world war who suddenly became aware of the new opportunities of the DPRK – to have the ability to crushingly deflect or, more precisely, to prevent any new provocations or threats against the DPRK on their part. Evil, sooner or later, is always punished, Master Imperialists!
The launch of the Earth space satellite was carried out using a ballistic long-range missile on the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG. Great KIM JONG IL wanted this and worked towards it.
It is very difficult to list everything great that was created or done under Kim Jong-Il thanks to his Leadership and his high sense of patriotism. His sudden departure from life is a great loss not only to the DPRK. Great love to him by the people was expressed in the fact that he is now eternally the General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) – the leading and guiding force of socialist construction. Thus Great Kim Jong Il forever remains in the ranks of the WPK.
Today, the country continues its steady path forward, implementing the plans of Great Kim Jong-Il under his successor Kim Jong-Un, who has for already one year successfully been leading the state, always following the line of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung and Great Kim Jong Il. To be a successor to their cause is a great honour and an enormous responsibility.
The state recently passed a law on land management - a new step in the development of agriculture for a better quality food supply for the population and landscaping foothill arrays (environmental issues). Transformations have been initiated towards improving and expanding the general 12-year education for young people and enhancing their patriotic education to become worthy, competent successors to the Korean revolution.
Paying tribute deepest respect to the memory of Great Kim Jong-Il, his great work for the good of his people and the struggle to prevent the outbreak of a new world war by the empire of evil - the United States, we believe that all the initiatives and plans of Great Kim Jong Il will certainly be successfully implemented and the DPRK will become even more beautiful and more powerful. We sincerely wish success to Comrade KIM JONG UN.

Statement by the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the

In connection with the situation on the Korean Peninsula
As you know, on February 23-24 in Beijing a third round of summit talks between the DPRK and the U.S. were held.
The United States reaffirmed their commitment to no longer be at odds with the DPRK and improve bilateral relations in a spirit of respect for sovereignty and equality and to take several measures to build confidence as one of the links in efforts to improve DPRK-US relations.
The U.S. promised to make efforts (only!) To provide 240 tons of food to the DPRK. (Russian proverb - the promised three-year wait.)
At the talks, the U.S. made it clear that their sanctions against the DPRK are not directed at the civilian sector, including the standard of living of the population (this means, the U.S. sanctions are aimed directly against the DPRK leadership, as was the case in Egypt, Iraq, Libya, now in Syria and Iran ...) In other words they are aimed at overthrowing the socialist system in the DPRK.
The DPRK at the talks, at the request of the United States, in the aims of maintaining a positive atmosphere for the Korean-US negotiations, decided on a moratorium on nuclear test launches of long-range missiles and uranium enrichment activities at Yongbyon and allow IAEA inspectors to monitor the freeze on its uranium enrichment program (? ? Did they believe their worst insidious enemy?).
After curtsies and smiles at the talks, the United States, probably through its "agreement" with the DPRK, obtained by deceit due to the honesty and trust of the Koreans, practically the next day began the "next scheduled" military exercises with South Korean troops. During the period of negotiations and before that, a huge number of American troops and their offensive weapons had already been relocated to South Korea. A large contingent of all South Korean troops put on alert that can be seen as preparation for the beginning of large-scale military aggression against the DPRK.
"The so-called joint military exercises" Key Resolve" and "Eagle" involve American troops stationed in South Korea, and a large contingent of reinforcements from the United States and the Pacific, as well as a huge number of attack means. Now, the whole South Korean land has gone into military readiness. There is now a forced hot atmosphere of a war of aggression against the North. "This is stated in the Statement of the Representative of the DPRK and the NDC Foreign Ministry of the DPRK statement late February of this year. Thus, not shrinking from anything, the Americans have ignored all the agreements reached in Beijing.
In conjunction with the military exercises, the South Korean side launched foul information-ideological propaganda campaign, which includes an insult and a mockery of the Supreme Leadership of the DPRK. The people of the DPRK are angered at the South Korean vicious, offensive information-ideological campaign.
The Statement of the DPRK Supreme Command on February 25, states that "... we will wage a merciless holy war of our type in order to wipe out a clique of traitors. The holy war of our type, based on physical strikes, will continue as long as the clique of traitors has not completely removed all traces of the insults to our highest dignity ... "
Our dear Korean friends! Is it worth responding so strongly to the weakness and wickedness on the part of the pro-American huskies, as Lee Myung-bak and his entourage? Swearing has always been and is a sign of WEAKNESS, and not STRENGTH. YOUR STRENGTH, our dear Korean friends, lies in YOUR possession of nuclear weapons. You are publicly recognized by the U.S. as a global nuclear power. As long as you own nuclear weapons, carry out nuclear research and develop nuclear technology - you keep your independence, autonomy and your own chosen by the people, path of historical development. Great KIM JONG IL was able to stand even "tougher" historical situations. Remember, at least three years of consecutive drought and consecutive three-year torrential rains that destroyed much of the already small arable land in the DPRK. Great Kim Jong Il carried out restructuring of arable land, mechanized agriculture, and got out of the emergency.
Now, there is little doubt that the terrible disasters in the DPRK that period were caused by American "scientists" - who studied the influence of laser effects on the uppermost layers of the atmosphere. The U.S. leadership is made up of a bunch of lunatics who are ready to destroy the entire world for the sake of an imaginary, already slipping away from them primacy in the economy and politics, yet retain their status due to an insane number of military bases around the world and who have taken aim at everything in living humanity. Regarding the dirty insinuations and insults against the Supreme Leadership of the DPRK, we consider this as a desire by the Americans to provoke the DPRK into starting first any military action, as was the firing on the island of Yeonpyeong. Americans desperately need to provoke the DPRK to begin FIRST attack South Koreans. The mousetrap is set up and the U.S. is impatiently waiting for results.
We wish You as always, to firmly and confidently, united around the Party and its leadership, to boldly go forward along the path outlined by the great leader Kim Jong Il, forward under the banner of Juche! You are sure to win. Because you are heroic people. No concessions to the treacherous aggressor - the U.S. and their running dogs. Only forward, sweeping away from the path the stupid dog barks to the accompaniment of U.S. writers. And, like the famous proverb - dogs bark, but the caravan MOVES ON!
We wish the selfless hard-working people of the DPRK new successes in building a prosperous socialist state under the leadership of the WPK and the supreme leader Kim Jong UN. So it will be, because it is a historical necessity.

COMMENT BY THE SECRETARIAT OF THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF THE AUCPB
Comment about the information in the press about the Summit held in Beijing, the third round of DPRK-US talks (23-24 February 2012) and representative of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK Statement dated February 25, on the aggravation of the situation on the Korean peninsula.
We note with satisfaction that the policy of the current Supreme leadership in the DPRK after the death of Great Kim Jong Il remains the same: to defend the independence, sovereignty and independence, provided by the existing high level of training and equipment of the KPA. The firm determination to defend Korean style socialism characterises the NDC Statement, and that there can be no talk about any concessions! And at the same time - carrying out the policy of preserving peace on the Korean Peninsula through coercion of the U.S. leadership to conduct equal negotiations: the complete equality of the parties, the effective recognition of the sovereignty of the DPRK, addressing the root issues of relations between the DPRK and the U.S..
We fully support the policies of the successor to Kim Jong Il, the Great People's leader Kim Jong UN and wish success in moving the country towards building a prosperous socialist state.

70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GREAT LEADER
FEBRUARY 16 MARKS THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GREAT LEADER COMRADE KIM JONG IL
This day is a public holiday in the DPRK Unfortunately, the great Kim Jong Il did not live until his 70th birthday.
The DPRK said goodbye to its beloved leader on December 17, 2011. Deep mourning and grief and sincere expression of love of the people for their prematurely deceased great leader spread throughout the country and lasted for more than 10 days. He died on a whilst working, heading to the inspection of one of the remote parts of the army.
But life goes on, no matter how sad it is to think that someone is no longer with us. Today, in the DPRK it was said: "Each of the Koreans, with tears vowed:" General Kim Jong Il is alive forever in our hearts! ".
Twenty years of leadership of the country under the Great Kim Jong Il's DPRK was marked by a powerful thrust forward in all spheres of society. During these years the country has reached a level of highly industrialized nations, and in some areas ahead of some European industrial countries. The past two decades has been to the DPRK unprecedented in the history of the Korean nation, not only a period of a rapid flourishing economy, science and culture, but also of strengthening the strategic power of the state and the armed forces, the creation of nuclear weapons, which, whatever anyone says, put an end to blatant, vile provocation and the constant blackmail from the United States on the implementation of preventive nuclear war against the DPRK.
Kim Jong Il warmly loved the people, shared with them the grief and joy, put his whole soul and tireless energy into the building of a powerful and prosperous state, to improve the welfare of the population. What other country in the world can boast of providing its people with highly skilled universal free medical care, 11 years free universal education, of building a huge and permanent housing stock to the provision of every Korean family free of charge, at public expense, separate comfortable apartments in the cities villages?
Kim Jong Il worked very hard. He always made inspection trips to personally get acquainted with the situation on the shock construction sites, military departments, research institutes, the agricultural cooperatives, was always interested in life of working people and doing everything to improve the organization of their work and life. Thanks to the intense activity of Kim Jong Il directly under his leadership, the people of boiling passion, performed miracles, and the construction of major industrial enterprises and mining complexes incomprehensible in a short time with high quality facilities handed over, the development of new technologies, some of which are much higher than European counterparts. Especially dazzling rapid is the construction of the hydroelectric project of the century Anbenskoy "Youth", the timing of construction and commissioning of large Hichhonskoy HPS, a new fruit-growing economy combined area of more than 1,000 hectares under Pyongyang, fruit processing plant, equipped with cutting-edge technologies, grid-plant construction pig farms, ostrich farms, the factories of the Far East breeding turtles and much, much more. Kim Jong Il as a true and talented Supreme Commander fully rearmed the Korean People's Army with modern military equipment and modern electronic equipment, significantly raised the level of military and political training in the Armed Forces of the country. "To fight for the happiness of the people is one of the most important tasks of the KPA." "Everything - for the defence of the Motherland, and for the construction of socialism - we will take care of!" – such is the slogan of military. Therefore, participation in the legendary army of construction of the century, the development of agricultural production and construction of the monumental works of Korean architects – is a natural situation for the KPA.
Kim Jong Il performed his oath which he made when he was a student at the university of Kim Il Sung: "I praise you, Korea!". If earlier, many in the world did not even know where Korea was located, the DPRK today is at the centre of attention of any politician and statesman of the world. Through the work of the International Institute for the Study of the Juche idea, the life of the people in DPRK is known in all countries and corners of the earth. Diplomatic relations over the past 20 years have been established with an overwhelming majority of the planet. In a hostile imperialist world, diverse permanent provocation for half a century by the United States and its satellites, a brutal 60-year-old economic blockade, DPRK has not flinched, has not broken. On the contrary, it has only intensified. Only the DPRK, has been the only one among all the countries of East and West - both large and small - only a DPRK led by Kim Jong Il - an outstanding thinker and theoretician, consummate talented organizer, a great military leader - DPRK, creating a nuclear shield has not allowed to turn the Korean peninsula into a centre of a nuclear world war. Thus we can assume that DPRK has won the frontal confrontation with the U.S. - political, diplomatic and military, too, one of the all countries able to withstand the global imperialist madness and stand as an example to other strong states and politicians who fell from the armed aggression of the United States.
Having developed in depth the Songun idea, rooted in the Juche idea, Kim Jong Il put forward the Songun politics as the main way of doing politics under socialism, which led to the victory of the DPRK on all fronts of the struggle for socialism. Songun politics has given the progressive people of the world a powerful ideological and theoretical weapon that allows a triumphant advance in the cause of socialism in all situations and harsh conditions.
The monolithic formed Korean society, the unity of the Leader, the Party, army and people have become an impregnable stronghold for any aggressor.
Kim Jong Il has opened a new chapter in the unification of Korea. The adoption of the historic Joint Declaration of the North and South, June 15 (2000) and the Declaration of October 4 (2007) marked the beginning of the era of grand unification on June 15, when the realized ideal of "by our nation." Today all the Koreans are full of passionate desire to thoroughly implement the adopted North-South Declaration in any difficult situations and make sure of the independent reunification of the country.
At the initiative of Kim Jong Il in April 1992, "Defending and moving forward the cause of socialism," the Pyongyang Declaration was published which led to a rise in the world socialist and national liberation movements.
And there is no force on earth that could block the path of the Korean people in building a prosperous socialist state united nation.
In Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK, on the banks of the River Taedong, stands the brightly lit red unquenchable torch of the Juche Idea, crowning a magnificent monumental creation - the world's highest stone tower in the 170 meters, lined with more than 250 slabs of rare and valuable stone, sent by the heads of States, political and public figures, the adherents of the Juche idea of 82 countries of the world (opened in April 1982).
The successor of Kim Jong Il - Deputy Chairman of the Central Military Committee of the WPK, the KPA Supreme Commander Kim Jong-Un is the successor of the Great Leader, as the Supreme Head of the Party, army and people. Today the Korean people, are honoring the memory of the Great Kim Jong Il, an oath - to the end to implement his ideas and work.
"We will with our hearts, are faithful to the leadership of General Kim Jong Un - just as to our Commander Kim Jong Il! .." - now say Koreans.
The memory of a prominent politician, military leader and theorist, thinker, scientist, organizer and builder of socialism, Great Kim Jong-il will forever live in the hearts of the progressive people of the world.

We were deeply shocked to hear about untimely death of Great Kim Jong Il who wa fully devoted his life to serving humanity, the struggle for a just and secure world. Kim Jong Il was part of a cohort of ardent revolutionaries, a great statesmen and political figures of our time, and in fact, showed the advantages of the socialist system and with his great work impeding the dangerous development of a continuously volatile situation on the Korean peninsula.

We were deeply shocked to hear about untimely death of Great Kim Jong Il who wa fully devoted his life to serving humanity, the struggle for a just and secure world. Kim Jong Il was part of a cohort of ardent revolutionaries, a great statesmen and political figures of our time, and in fact, showed the advantages of the socialist system and with his great work impeding the dangerous development of a continuously volatile situation on the Korean peninsula.

AUCPB STATEMENT ON DPRK FOUNDING DAY
SEPTEMBER 9, 1948 – DPRK FOUNDING DAY
September 9, 1948 lit up the brightest star in North-East Asia, ushering in a new, socialist state, point out to the countries of the third world a practical way of fighting for their independence, for the legitimate right of every people to self-determination of their historical development.
The founding of the DPRK has become a landmark in the history of the Korean nation, the beginning of the implementation of autonomy and independence of the Korean state, created for the benefit of the working man, for the benefit of his real interests and improving the lives of ordinary people. After Korea's liberation from Japanese colonial rule in 1945 under the leadership of the Great Commander Comrade Kim Il Sung, the Great Leader had done a great job in the direction of unification of the Korean nation, divided geographically into two parts, with the Americans occupying south Korea in the final period of World War II and had refused to leave the territory of the Korean Peninsula after its ending. Unfortunately, the question of unification still remains on the agenda due to the criminal, hostile, U.S. hate policy, strongly opposing this union, contrary to the wishes and aspirations of the entire Korean people.
In the newly-born young Socialist Republic, the creation of an independent and self-sufficient economic base began. The country set its sights on the training of its own intelligentsia and scientific and technical personnel. Adopting the plan of development, tasks were set that were always successfully implemented by the heroic people of the DPRK. During the 63 years, the DPRK has become a country of universal literacy of the entire population, where one in four people have higher education, which has created a high potential of science and culture. But cadres, as we know, are everything. It is therefore not surprising that in response to continued threats, blackmail and diverse direct provocation by the U.S., the nation’s scientists and scientific and technical personnel of DPRK have established a reliable defence of peaceful labour of citizens in the form of nuclear weapons and against the threat of preemptive attack on the country from the crazy arbitrariness of the U.S.. And know matter what one says, it is the presence of the nuclear shield that is currently the only guarantee of peace in Northeast Asia and the Korean peninsula in particular.
Advances in the development of the economy, science and the growth of living standards, continually improving health care in the most remote areas from the capital, large-scale housing construction, both in urban and rural areas, speak volumes. Today,the DPRK has a highly advanced industry and agriculture. Socialism in the DPRK is very difficult to build because of the continuing U.S. interference in all affairs of the Korean Peninsula and the venality of changing South Korean puppet governments, their subordination and subservience to America. However, despite these enormous difficulties, the constant stifling economic blockade against the DPRK, the country is not only not weakened, but grown up, matured and continues to move forward confidently, and recognized by virtually all nations of the world (diplomatic relations have been established). The basis of all achievements is the heroic work of the people of the DPRK, the monolithic unity around their Leader and Party. The Armed Forces of the DPRK are the flesh and blood of the people, not only standing on vigilant guard over the gains of socialism, but also taking a very active part in its future construction. The unity of the people around the Leader and the Party has created a monolith, which no one can destroy.
It now 17 years since the death of the Great Leader, and at the helm of the country is a worthy successor of his cause, Comrade Kim Jong Il. He enjoys the great love and confidence of the people.
His re-re-election as Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission of September 3, 2003 indicates his services to the country and the people and his extraordinary abilities as a politician, ideologue, a wise statesman, and gifted military leader. It is no accident that people of the DPRK call him the Great KIM JONG IL.
Now, the people are preparing themselves for new labour successes to celebrate in the upcoming 2012 centenary of the Great Leader.
We congratulate the courageous and hardworking people from the DPRK on the 63rd anniversary of the founding of their Socialist state, and we wish them continuing strong and confident strides on their path to the top of a highly prosperous socialist state.

AUCPB STATEMENT ON FATHERLAND LIBERATION DAY IN THE DPRK
AUGUST 15, 1945 - DAY OF RESTORATION OF THE FATHERLAND
For twenty years there was a long tense, bitter armed struggle for the revival of enslaved by the Japanese – the Motherland of Korea. This struggle was headed, while still quite young, by Kim Il Sung. On October 17, 1926, the future great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung formed the Down with Imperialism Union (DWIU), and on May 5, 1936, he founded the League for national liberation. He formed guerrillas who attacked the Japanese, did not allow them to live in peace, permanently damaging the manpower and arming themselves with weapons captured from the them. Japan in the 1940-s of the twentieth century, did not officially go to war with the Soviet Union, but held in the Far East the largest armed force in the face of the Kwantung Army of a million, choosing the time of the attack on the USSR. Only in Korea did the Japanese during World War II, built four fortified areas, concentrating a huge amount of military equipment there.
The organized armed struggle against the Japanese began with the creation of Kim Il Sung's guerrilla groups. The guerrillas brought a lot of trouble to the Japanese. The armed struggle for the liberation of the motherland has become ever more powerful and more dangerous for the Japanese. Though of course, to fight against the heavily armed and well equipped with arms, ammunition and food regular Kwantung Army was very difficult. The victory was not achieved to easily. But so great was the hatred for the oppressors, that th guerrillas soon grew into the anti-Japanese People's Revolutionary Guerrilla Army, which later became the basis of the Korean People's Army.
The end of World War II in Europe did not mean the end of hostilities in North-East Asia. In August 8, 1945, the Soviet Union, the faithful to allies and international duty, carrying out the commitments adopted at the Teheran and Yalta conferences, today declared a state of war with Japan. On August 8, 1945 the Soviet army inflicted a devastating blow to the Japanese. On August 9, 1945, Comrade Kim Il Sung gave the order to all units for a general offensive for the liberation of the motherland. The troops, who were on the initial positions, carried out operations made according to an operational plan predetermined by Kim Il Sung.
The troops who focused on the basin of the river Tuman (border with the USSR), breaking through the border reinforced by the Japanese, liberated the border regions and captured a vast territory of Korea. The remains of the Kwantung Army, defeated the Soviet army, demoralized and fragmented, still continued to resist. But it was already the end for them. On August 15, 1945 Japan announced its unconditional surrender. Officially, the victorious military campaign of the USSR against Japan lasted 24 days.
Korea started the construction of a new life. At a rally in Pyongyang on October 14 people enthusiastically greeted Kim Il Sung.
"You could say that the people's jubilation on October 14, 1945 in Pyongyang stadium was a public evaluation and compensation for the fact that we had overcome all difficulties and hardships, fighting for the motherland and the nation for half their life. I saw it just as a reward, as an expression of love and trust of the people. I often say, where on earth can be more happiness than the love and support of the people? ..

JULY 27 DPRK CELEBRATES VICTORY
ON JULY 27 THE DPRK CELEBRATES VICTORY IN THE FATHERLAND LIBERATION WAR AGAINST THE ARMED AGGRESSION OF THE USA (JUNE 25, 1950 - JULY 27, 1953)
On June 25, 1950, the U.S. committed armed aggression against the newly-born DPRK (1948), hoping to destroy this country and turn the entire Korean peninsula into a bridgehead for the conquest of East Asia. But quite unexpectedly the U.S. was met by a so dignified and stubborn resistance by the DPRK that their, "blitzkrieg" intended to last a week became for the U.S., three years of heavy loss of life and equipment that ended in the signing of "truce" on July 27, 1953. For the first time in its history of military adventures, the U.S. received a powerful slap in the face. The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung led the resistance of the people to U.S. aggression. He was always in Pyongyang, at the headquarters where he directed military operations and civilian work in the factories that produced weapons. There, in the headquarters, his son, little KIM JONG IL was oftern there watching the work of his father the Great Leader, and carefully studied the maps of military action.
Then, in the Fatherland Liberation War against the American occupiers, the entire people of Korea liberated from Japanese colonial slavery, rose up to defend their homeland. When the plant’s electricity was cut off (from the constant bombing and electrical cable breaks), people turned heavy flywheels which drove the machines by hand. Over Pyongyang, American bombers dropped such an enormous number of bombs, that they turned the city into the ashes and complete ruins. The heroism of the people on the front and rear was universal. Men and women fought to the death against the armed to the teeth American aggressors. And they achieved victory in the unequal fight! The great spirit of freedom, independence and courage of the Koreanshad won, defending the future of the Korean nation, the right to an independent, elected by the people, path of building a new, free society from exploitation. And in this victory lies the great merit of the great military leader Comrade Kim Il Sung.
Today is a very difficult time for the DPRK due to constant provocations by the U.S. who dream to destroy the freedom-loving people, and by the treachery of the Korean nation's ruling elite in South Korea, fully sold to America. The puppet government of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) is actively engaged in "intimidating" the DPRK (North Korea) by their military maneuvers near the borders of the DPRK, by falling for bribery and powerful ideological propaganda, trying to tarnish the DPRK and its leaders. But the people of the DPRK peacefully and with irony refer to such provocations, strongly believes in its leadership and is ready to carry out any order of their beloved leader - the Great Kim Jong Il.
The most painful issue for the U.S. now is the possession by the DPRK of it own nuclear weapon created by the genius of Korean scientists and engineers. The DPRK is now reliably protected from a possible pre-emptive strike by the United States, which earlier constantly threatened the DPRK. Therefore, discussions about the resumption of six-party talks, which were devoted to at meetings in July in Bali (Indonesia), is, it seems to us, an old song by the United States to force the DPRK and its leadership under any pretext and various false promises from the U.S. into rejecting nuclear weapons.
In recent history, there have been many examples that prove that a lack of a nuclear shield by a number of sovereign states ended in the destruction of their own independence and demise, accompanied by the physical extermination of the civilian population in these countries by the United States aggressor. The real U.S. attitude towards the DPRK has been well known the across the world over the past 60 years. "Goodwill" by the U.S. is similar to the "goodwill" of the wolf in Krylov's fable "The Wolf in the dog kennel," namely, when the predator, mistaking the fold, comes to the kennel and being pushed into a corner, vows not to kill, but to protect the sheep, for which he was answered: -
You're gray, but I, my friend, am grey,
And your wolfy nature, I know long ago;
So my custom:
With the wolves is not to make peace,
As taking the skin off them.
And then he released the pack of hounds on the Wolf. This Krylov fable was written in 1812 (during Russia’s war with Napoleon). The fable was immediately sent to the army of Kutuzov ... The Russian general treated the French as the hound did in the fable of Krylov ...

It carried an article titled "DPRK" with a photo of the President discussing the work with leader Kim Jong Il. The article said the President is a benefactor who saved the Korean nation from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule.

KIM IL SUNG MEMORIAL DAY
JULY 8, 1994 - COMRADE KIM IL SUNG MEMORIAL DAY - THE GREAT LEADER OF THE KOREAN PEOPLE, FATHER OF THE NATION, THE ETERNAL PRESIDENT OF THE DPRK, SUPREME COMMANDER, GENERAL-SECRETARY OF THE WORKERS’ PARTY OF KOREA (WPK) UNTIL JULY 1994.
Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung went down in history as the liberator of the Korean nation from Japanese colonial rule, as the savior of her great ancient - five thousand years of history and culture, that according to a plan the Japanese invaders had to put an end to in the twentieth century. Japanese eroded the Korean people from everything that was national, prohibited the carrying out of national customs, the use of native Korean language, making the Korean people their slaves. In his early teenage years, Comrade Kim Il Sung embarked on the path of revolutionary struggle and vowed to free the Korean people from Japanese oppressors. By organizing the armed guerrilla groups and intense heavy anti-Japanese struggle, he created a revolutionary people's army, which became the basis of the Korean People's Army - a powerful defender of his country and an active builder of a prosperous Korean socialist state.
The Day of July 8 in the DPRK is not a day of mourning. Rather it is a day of boundless expression of gratitude and respect to the people’s beloved Great Leader - Comrade Kim Il Sung, who as Great Kim Jong Il says, "always live with us!". And the memorial Kymsusansky palace, where the sarcophagus with the body of the Great Leader lies, not a mausoleum in the usual sense, but a hymn of eternal glory of a great man, a hard worker who discovered the path of light for the Korean nation of an independent life. Kymsusansky Palace is a hymn to the triumph of life over death, a symbol of strength and greatness of the Korean spirit, because the idea of the Great Leader today is fully implemented by the talented successor of his cause, Great KIM JONG IL.
How great the respect is for the memory of the Great Leader can be judged by who visits the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, and lots of people visit, not just Koreans but foreigners also, where they are personally acquainted with the multifaceted activities of Kim Il Sung, they see a huge number of state awards, which was awarded this great, simple and very humble man. Today's Korea is the implementation of the covenants of Kim Il Sung. This is great housing, excellent sports palaces, palaces, sciences, arts, theatres, modern libraries, monumental buildings, a beautiful environment in urban areas, cleanliness and order everywhere, trees and flower beds in the cities - this is the appearance of modern DPRK. The capital of the DPRK, Pyongyang, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with beautiful environment, which none of the capitals of Europe can be proud of. People in the DPRK live in peace, having confidence in the future secured by the state, enjoying free medical care at modern levels of health development and achievements. There are no problems with comfortable accommodation for every Korean. Everyone is entitled to state-guaranteed free secondary and higher education. The system of free preschool is well-developed. A lot of attention and care is given by the state to health, safety and lives of mothers. Taxes in Korea do exist. The problem of its own food supply in a country where 80% of the area is rock and unsuitable for agriculture is almost solved. The DPRK is now a country with a developed economy and energy, able to decide for itself all questions of life support in a state of prolonged economic blockade. The Korean People's Army (KPA) equipped with modern weaponry, including nuclear, safe guards the peaceful labour of DPRK citizens.
Kim Il Sung was a man from the depths of the people, and therefore his whole life was connected with the people. He constantly travelled around the country, visited the most remote villages and towns, and therefore knew and felt the people, their concerns and aspirations. People paid him with sincere love and boundless confidence. Kim Il Sung gave a lot of time and effort in addressing the issue of reunification of the divided Korean nation by the U.S. invaders. He had created a lot of different projects for reunification, one of which was the creation of the Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo. Crazy U.S. opposition to address this issue remains to this day, the US, which was first defeated by small freedom-loving socialist DPRK during the Korean War 1950-1953. U.S. ambitions are pushing them to new and emerging crimes and provocations against the DPRK. But the country, merged into the ideology of Juche and Songun politics, for more than 60 years under a gruelling inhuman economic blockade caused by the will of the U.S., stands firm and today, rallying around their leader - the Great Kim Jong Il, stands as an impregnable bastion of the North-East Asia , restraining the U.S. attempts to ignite the fire of a new world war in this region. The people of the DPRK are steadily building their own prosperous state, in spite of the U.S., and despite the pressure on it from the entire imperialist world.

Lee Myung Bak Group Can Never Evade Responsibility for Bringing Inter-Korean Relations to Collapse: Spokesman for NDC
Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- The Lee Myung Bak group of traitors on May 19 let a guy claiming to be a spokesman for Chongwadae spread rumor that the "true intention" reflected in Lee's "Berlin proposal" was conveyed to the DPRK side at a secret contact made between the north and the south of Korea in Beijing recently. A spokesman for the DPRK National Defence Commission Wednesday gave the following answer to a question put by KCNA as regards this:
The above-said group is master hands at fabrications as they cook up lies and deny what they have done and hooligans who renege on the promises made to the nation like a pair of old shoes.
This is clearly evidenced by the "Cheonan" sinking case and Yonphyong Island shelling case.
It is a sheer lie that at the Beijing secret contact the south side briefed the DPRK side on the "real intention" reflected in the "Berlin proposal" made by traitor Lee.
Now that the Lee group let the spokesman for Chongwadae open to public the above-mentioned secret contact first on the basis of fabrications and is busy floating nonsensical stories, the DPRK side has no option but to clarify it as it happened.
Finding it hard to evade the responsibility for having driven the inter-Korean relations to catastrophe, the Lee group was aware that the crisis in the closing period of its rule might further deepen due to the situation. Hence, entering April the group made repeated requests to "hold a secret contact for the 'summit talks,' saying it would no more talk about 'Cheonan' warship sinking case and Yonphyong Island shelling case."
And it made poor excuses that what matters is that Lee's "policy towards the north" is "misunderstood" by the north and the south, in fact, stands for the improvement of the north-south relations.
Kim Chon Sik, chief of the policy room of the puppet ministry of unification, Hong Chang Hwa, director of the intelligence service, and Kim Thae Hyo, senior presidential secretary for foreign strategy of secretariat of Chongwadae, and others came out to the venue of the secret contact that started on May 9. They, however, began playing jugglery to wrest apology from the DPRK side, asserting that the above-said cases were "mountains to be crossed with wisdom" for the improvement of the south-north relations. This was a breach of the promise made to the DPRK side earlier.
When it declared that it was preposterous to say the word "apology" over the cases with which it had nothing to do and just measures for self-defence, they asked it to put forth "a compromise proposal" to be declared before the world, the proposal which cannot be interpreted as apology, when viewed by the north side but as apology when viewed by the south side. They implored the north to "make a little concession".
When the DPRK side told them to go back to Seoul at once, saying it is not necessary to discuss the issue of the summit talks in which unreasonable "apology" raised as a pre-condition, they tried hard to keep the contact going on at any cost, saying that it would not be long before Lee Myung Bak's tenure of office would end, the present authorities are hard pressed for time and it is more favorable to push forward the inter-Korean relations by joining hands with the conservative forces, in stead of doing so with the progressive forces.
Noting that a program for all events for the opening of the "summit talks" has already been worked out, they said that depending on the settlement of the issues of the two cases, they expected to open ministerial talks for the "summit talks" late in May to announce agreed points, hold the first round of the "summit talks” in Panmunjom late in June, the second one in Pyongyang two months later and the third round of the "summit talks" during the summit for nuclear security slated to take place in March next year. They earnestly begged the DPRK side to take this embarrassing situation into consideration.
When the DPRK side clarified its steadfast stand that such summit talks cannot take place as long as the south side insists on the hostile policy towards the DPRK, persistently claiming that the north should "dismantle its nukes first" and calling for "an apology" for the two cases, they asked it to express at least "regret" at the two cases, proposed meeting in Malaysia again to conclude the discussion of this issue and urged it to rapidly push forward the arrangements for opening the "summit talks". They went the lengths of showing off enveloped money to lure someone but suffered shame.
The puppet group asked the DPRK side to keep secret what was said at the secret contact, saying the situation in south Korea is complicated unlike that in the north and if that is known to the south, it will entail adverse consequences. They repeatedly asked the north side to keep secret the accounts of the contact as nobody knows about this except Hyon In Thaek, minister of Unification, the director of the intelligence service and the presidential secretary-general who looked after the secret contact at the personal instruction of "President" Lee and those sent to Beijing for the contact.
It was these guys who first opened to the public the misrepresented accounts of the secret Beijing contact in an attempt to propagandize the "justice" of the "Berlin proposal."
This is the whole story about the secret contact that the spokesman for Chongwadae claimed the real intention reflected in the proposal was conveyed to the north before and after May 19.
Had the Lee group have the true intention to improve the north-south relations, it should not have let loose such reckless remarks as what it called "Berlin proposal" and refrained from perpetrating such perfidy as opening to the public the misrepresented accounts of the secret contact.
All facts glaringly show what desperate efforts the Lee is making to shirk the responsibility for having driven the north-south relations to collapse in the closing period of its rule.
For all his desperate efforts the traitor cannot evade the responsibility for the crimes committed against the nation and reunification for three years in power.
The DPRK will make every possible effort to ensure peace, reunification and stability on the Korean Peninsula but it will no longer deal with the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors which meanly behaves, uttering incoherent words to achieve its sinister political aim.

79-th Anniversary of the KPA
ON APRIL 25, THE DPRK CELEBRATED THE 79-th ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE KOREAN PEOPLE'S ARMY
On April 25, the DPRK celebrated the 79-th anniversary of the founding of the Korean People's Army.
The KPA was formed by the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung during the 15-year armed guerrilla struggle against Japanese colonial rule in Korea. On August 15, 1945, the KPA as liberator from the Japanese yoke was triumphantly greeted by the people of Pyongyang. During the Fatherland Liberation War, 1950-1953, the KPA defeated the American invaders. Today the KPA, armed with sophisticated weapons, including nuclear, is as united as never before around the Supreme Commander Comrade KIM JONG IL, is monolithic in unity of the people and leader, vigilantly standing guard over peace in Northeast Asia, not allowing for the development of an explosive situation in this region despite fierce efforts by the U.S. and their puppets - the South Korean government to set fire to the wick of a new world war.
We congratulate the glorious Armed Forces of the DPRK headed by the great leader Kim Jong Il on this landmark date, and we wish also to stand firmly in the face of the heavily armed U.S. agents provocateurs of a new world war.

US WAR DRILLS BLASTED
KCNA Warns US-S. Korea of Serious Consequences of Their Saber-rattling
Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- The situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula is reminiscent of the eve of war due to Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises kicked off by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces.
The on-going saber-rattling is arousing deep concern at home and abroad as it is the maneuver for a nuclear war with their huge offensive means involved. It was kicked off under the U.S. scenario for a war of aggression against the DPRK to swallow up the whole of the Korean Peninsula by force of arms in order to put pressure on the East of the Asian continent.
It is obviously actual maneuvers for a nuclear war to invade the DPRK in their offensive nature and scale.
These maneuvers put main emphasis on drills for "eliminating and acquiring WMDs through surprise preemptive strike at the DPRK and the operation to cope with the "contingency" and they are larger in scale.
Participating in these exercises are hundreds of personnel of the 20th Support Command present in the U.S., a unit tasked to rapidly cope with, detect and eliminate WMDs, etc. And naval operation groups including U.S. aircraft carrier and strike flying corps including strategic bombers are getting frantic with maneuvers in the seas and sky.
The south Korean puppet Defense Ministry blustered that the large-scale U.S. reinforcements are involved in the military exercises as they are needed for occupying the north. This fully reveals their aggressive nature.
Nevertheless, the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are describing the saber-rattling as an annual and usual one for defense. This is shameless rhetoric to cover up the true nature of their maneuvers for a war of aggression against the DPRK.
Those who threw a stumbling block in the way of achieving peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and the region by kicking off the dangerous war maneuvers will have to pay a very high price for them.
Those who like to play with fire are bound to perish therein.

KCNA Denounces US-S. Korea Joint Exercises
Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet warmongers Monday started joint military exercises for aggression Key Resolve and Foal Eagle across south Korea.
Huge armed troops of the U.S. forces and south Korean puppet army are combat-ready and groups for naval operations including a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier are deployed in the waters off south Korea. Strike flying corps including strategic bombers are ready to go into action.
This is another grave move taken by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK and ignite a war, opposed to the peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
Herein lies a true aim sought by the group of traitors in south Korea in deliberately torpedoing the preliminary talks for opening the north-south high-level military talks arranged with much effort to defuse the military tension on the Korean Peninsula.
As already known, south Korea has consistently responded with ceaseless frantic war exercises targeted against the DPRK to the proposal for opening wide-ranging dialogue between the north and the south made in the joint statement of the government, political parties and organizations of the DPRK.
The day following the publication of the statement the Air Operation Command of the south Korean puppet army let gun-ships fly in the sky above Yangphyong area of Kyonggi Province and fire machine guns and missiles, kicking up a war atmosphere. Workers in North and South of Korea Publish Peace Declaration
Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and the Federation of Trade Unions and the Confederation of Trade Unions of south Korea issued a peace declaration of the workers in the north and the south of Korea Monday.
The declaration expressed concern about the touch-and-go situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula. It urged the U.S. and the south Korean authorities to immediately halt the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises.
The north proposed wide-ranging dialogue and negotiations between the two sides. But the military authorities of south Korea kicked off the big maneuvers while calling for taking countermeasure against it, the declaration said. This is aimed to justify the military exercises, it added.
The exercises are a planned provocation to push the north-south relations to the brink of a war and they also reveal an intention to maintain the confrontation policy, the declaration said, adding:
All the Koreans are calling for negotiated settlement to all the issues amid the mounting danger of a war on the Korean Peninsula.
The south Korean authorities should promptly come out for dialogue and negotiations with the north, though belatedly, from a sincere stand for peace and stability of the peninsula.
Calling for active solidarity and exchanges between the workers in the north and the south, the declaration denounced the south Korean authorities for having repeatedly disallowed contacts and visits between NGOs and people of various strata and inflicted legal punishment on them.
The declaration stated that the organizations would hold colorful events including a meeting of workers in the north and the south for reunification and promote solidarity and cooperation between them.
We will wage unflinching actions against those forces standing in the way of contacts, dialogue and cooperation between the workers from the north and the south, it declared.
Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- The situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula is reminiscent of the eve of war due to Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises kicked off by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces.
The on-going saber-rattling is arousing deep concern at home and abroad as it is the maneuver for a nuclear war with their huge offensive means involved. It was kicked off under the U.S. scenario for a war of aggression against the DPRK to swallow up the whole of the Korean Peninsula by force of arms in order to put pressure on the East of the Asian continent.
It is obviously actual maneuvers for a nuclear war to invade the DPRK in their offensive nature and scale.
These maneuvers put main emphasis on drills for "eliminating and acquiring WMDs through surprise preemptive strike at the DPRK and the operation to cope with the "contingency" and they are larger in scale.
Participating in these exercises are hundreds of personnel of the 20th Support Command present in the U.S., a unit tasked to rapidly cope with, detect and eliminate WMDs, etc. And naval operation groups including U.S. aircraft carrier and strike flying corps including strategic bombers are getting frantic with maneuvers in the seas and sky.
The south Korean puppet Defense Ministry blustered that the large-scale U.S. reinforcements are involved in the military exercises as they are needed for occupying the north. This fully reveals their aggressive nature.
Nevertheless, the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are describing the saber-rattling as an annual and usual one for defense. This is shameless rhetoric to cover up the true nature of their maneuvers for a war of aggression against the DPRK.
Those who threw a stumbling block in the way of achieving peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and the region by kicking off the dangerous war maneuvers will have to pay a very high price for them.
