In December, the DPRK marks two significant dates:
December 24, 1991 Leader Kim Jong-il was appointed Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army.
December 24, 1917, Kim Jong Suk was born - the heroine of the anti-Japanese struggle, the wife of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung and the mother of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il.
During the period of leading the Armed Forces of the DPRK, by Kim Jong Il, all the armed forces have been re-equipped with modern weapons and the level of combat readiness of all units responsible for national defense significantly increased. The Korean national space satellite Kwangmyongson was launched, and the modern means of defending the borders of the DPRK, developed. The DPRK thanks to its domestic scientific development has become a nuclear power. And no matter how enraged United States and its sattelites are, which are powerful imperialist nuclear powers, about the notorious U.S. nuclear threat from North Korea, these cries testify only to cynicism and malice by the USA.
Everyone knows that the U.S. has the world's largest arsenal of nuclear weapons and modern means of its delivery anywhere in the world at its military bases, located on all continents, and drawing all other states into a deadly ring, "which potentially threaten the United States." The U.S. threatens pre-emptive nuclear strike, not only to the DPRK but also Iran. Therefore, with its deliberate policy of intimidation of everyone, the United States will inevitably cause a desire in all of the other non-nuclear powers as a vital need to obtain, their own nuclear weapons as the only way to protect the current conditions from attack by the U.S. or their "friends" in the block of nuclear imperialist predators.
President Barack Obama, while in mid-October in Seoul at the summit of the "twenty", threatened the DPRK – that if it does not abandon its defense policy - organization against it will make it even more isolated. That is the now embittered, angry and anti-humane policy of the imperialist beast, which has been for more than 50 years, powerless to destroy Socialist Korea.
In unison with the U.S., the docile puppet UN without proof accuses the DPRK of exporting nuclear technology to Iran, Syria and Myanmar (Burma). The report by "experts" from the UN on this subject was prepared six months ago, but then China came out against its publication. The U.S. till this day is still raging against the DPRK, demanding that it "cease hostilities against the United States"?! But besides false charges, the U.S. has not been able to think of anything during all this time concerning any explanation about the nature of this "hostile activity by the DPRK”.
Small countries that live in conditions of a U.S.nuclear cudgel raised over them, may disarm only AFTER COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of the U.S. and its European allies, along with Japan and Israel. It is widely known that the U.S. is constantly increasing at its own expense the military arsenal of Israel with all the latest means of attack, preparing for an armed aggression against, primarily Iran, inventing various unsubstantiated "rumors" about the direction of Iran's nuclear development.
The criminal U.S. foreign policy is calls powerful protest by the peoples against the entire “G20”. During the summit in Seoul (11-12 November), anti-globalists in mass demonstrations chanted: "Stop the Big Twenty! "- thus declaring the inability of the "twenty" to effectively manage the global economy. Powerful demonstrations against the G-20 in those days were held in London and other European capitals.
Imperialism is moving to its economic and political collapse, is preparing punitive and military structures to deal with the people. The protest movement is growing around the world every day. The world is moving towards a social explosion. Communists must be ready for that tipping point of history. Now widespread support for the socialist countries - the DPRK and the Republic of Cuba - as never before is the most vital task of the Communists throughout the world.
We wish our friends - Socialist Korea and its armed forces under the leadership of Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il, new successes in strengthening the country's defense capability and the accelerated construction of a powerful socialist state.

South Korean fascist puppets threaten the DPRK with air strikes

The new appointed boss of the south Korean puppet military has said that he will order "Air strikes"on the DPRK if there is another incident.This is both a high handed and dangerous threat and also the mentality of a thief calling thief as it the south Korean puppets who provoked the Yongpyong island incident on the 23rd of November and admit they fired first.They are trying to intimidate the DPRK and stifle its socialist system by force by arms.

They can never succeed in their evil plans and can never destroy the Juche socialist fortress that is bolstered with the power of Songun

Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- The Korean Central News Agency is authorized to release Sunday the following report:
The south Korean puppet group, far from drawing a lesson from the deserved punishment it faced for its reckless firing of shells into the territorial waters of the DPRK side around Yonphyong Island, is getting more frantic in military provocations and war moves under this pretext.
The puppet group staged the largest-ever madcap combined exercises together with the U.S. in waters of the West Sea of Korea with its nuclear carrier flotilla involved right after the shelling incident on Yonphyong Island. It plans to stage large-scale combined naval maneuvers with huge armed forces of the U.S. Seventh Fleet including its nuclear submarines involved in the near future.
It noisily announced that firing exercises would be staged at 29 places in the East, West and South seas of south Korea simultaneously from Monday.
Taechong Island, one of the five islands in the West Sea very close to the territory of the DPRK, is included in them.
The puppet forces are loudly advertising that they would fire shells into the territorial waters of the DPRK side from Yonphyong Island, i.e. in the same direction they did when committing the recent provocation. This indicates how frantic they have become in their provocative acts.
They are getting very busy massively introducing latest weapons including MLRS and missiles into Yonphyong Island to reinforce the fire power and installations and stage a take-shelter drill.
The puppet military war-like forces were reported to have already worked out the so-called "retaliatory plan" which calls for sparking off an armed clash after getting on the nerves of the DPRK militarily and taking a large-scale counter-action under this pretext and designated Yonphyong Island as an ignition point to put it into practice.
This indicates that the Lee Myung Bak group is set to orchestrate the second Yonphyong Island incident at any cost and ignite a war come what may under this pretext.
The puppet group is so hell-bent on the moves to escalate the confrontation and start a war that it is recklessly behaving, bereft of reason.
The war-like forces including the new puppet defence minister vociferated about the "principal enemy" and the like while daring take issue with even the leadership of the DPRK. They blustered that they would make a "precision strike" at artillery positions of the DPRK and "reduce them to ashes" by modifying the "rules for battles" and setting in motion all the war means including aircraft. They went the lengths of letting loose outbursts that they would use the defence positions on the five islands in the West Sea as springboards for attack from which to strike the strategic targets deep inside the territory of the DPRK including Pyongyang.
The frantic provocations on the part of the puppet group are rapidly driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to an uncontrollable extreme phase.
No one can predict to what extent the situation will deteriorate in the future.

Korea ‘crisis’ made in Washington
Huge U.S.-south Korean military manoeuvres were the real provocation

When a “crisis” regarding Korea suddenly appears in the U.S. corporate media, their take is always that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (socialist north Korea) has done something totally irrational to cause it.
They totally disregard the facts of what happened and, of equal importance, what led up to it.
Yes, the DPRK shelled the island of Yeonpyeong on Nov. 23. According to south Korean officials, two of their soldiers were killed. But the shelling occurred at 2:34 p.m. Korean time. What had happened earlier?
Some 70,000 south Korean military personnel had been mobilized for war “exercises” right off the sea borderline between the north and the south — which is disputed territory. The south Koreans admit to having fired shells into waters that the DPRK considers its territory at 1:00 p.m. — more than an hour before the north’s response.
If south Korea, and its huge sponsor, the U.S., had wanted to avoid confrontation with the DPRK, would they have fired shells into a disputed area? Especially since the DPRK had already declared that the military maneuvers were “simulating an invasion of the north”?
The provocation comes from the U.S. and the right-wing south Korean regime, not the DPRK.
This 70,000-troop military “exercise” by the south Korean regime is scheduled to continue until Nov. 30. Although the U.S. officially denies being part of it, CNN.com on Nov. 23 reported that “Some U.S. forces had been helping the South Koreans in a military training exercise, but were not in the shelled area.” Right. They were part of the provocation but stayed out of range.
In fact, the south Korean military is deeply integrated with the U.S. Pentagon. In July, the two countries held joint “exercises” in the same waters, off the west coast of the Korean Peninsula. The maneuvers involved 200 aircraft and 20 ships, including the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier the USS George Washington.
The imperialist media today are saying that the DPRK’s “belligerence” is trying the patience of China. China has been an ally of the DPRK since 1950, when U.S. forces invaded north Korea, bombed all its cities, and threatened the new revolutionary government of China with nuclear war.
But while China is seeking a peaceful solution to the present crisis, there can be no doubt that it sees U.S. belligerence toward the DPRK as a threat to its own peaceful development.
Li Jie, a researcher with the Chinese navy’s military academy, wrote on July 12 in China Daily about the U.S.-south Korean “exercises” scheduled for later that month:
“A joint drill with the ROK [south Korea] in the key waters off its Asian military bases will help the U.S. realize multiple strategic goals in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Li.
“First, the drill will help the U.S. maintain high-pressure against what it calls a restive DPRK regime. It is also believed to be an explicit indication of the U.S. stance that the world’s sole superpower would stand firmly behind the ROK and Japan in case of a military conflict between Pyongyang and Washington’s two traditional Asian allies.
“In addition, a well-deliberated military exercise in the Yellow Sea will also help the U.S. collect geographic and military information about some Asian countries [especially China-d.g.] bordering the vast waters.
“General Ma Xiaotian, deputy chief of general staff of the People’s Liberation Army, has expressed ‘firm opposition’ to the scheduled U.S.-ROK military maneuver.”
But the maneuvers took place anyway.
There is nothing “irrational” in either the response of the DPRK or the worries of the Chinese military. U.S. imperialism waged a horrendous war against the Korean Revolution from 1950 to 1953, one that resulted in millions of deaths. It has occupied south Korea ever since, with a force that still numbers almost 30,000. It has refused to even discuss a peace treaty to formally end that war.
Should it be surprising, then, that the DPRK knows it has to be ready at any time to repel another invasion?
Is it surprising that the leaders in China are alarmed when U.S. imperialism, while making money off investments and trade there, nevertheless tries to encircle it militarily?
Instead of putting out anti-DPRK propaganda in the guise of psycho-analyzing its leaders, why don’t the media ask why the U.S. leaders do what they do? Why have they maintained a hostile policy against the DPRK for more than 60 years, ever since its anti-colonial and anti-capitalist revolution? Why won’t they sign a peace treaty with the DPRK so that the Korean people can work for real disarmament and reunification?
But that would be to acknowledge that the U.S. is ruled by a class of billionaires that has fattened itself on war and exploitation all over the world and has a long history of creating excuses for the bloody expansion of its imperial reach. The media has been part of this inglorious history, ever since the Hearst papers invented an excuse for invading Cuba in 1898.
Let’s not fall for another “Bay of Tonkin” or “weapons of mass destruction” lie. The enemy of the working class is right here, in the board rooms and banks of U.S. capitalism, that are destroying everything the people have won over generations of struggle and hard work.
No aggression against socialist Korea! Lift the sanctions and bring U.S. troops home!

The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK and Juche Idea Study Group of England today issued the following statement in support of the statement of the KPA Supreme Command issued 23rd November in connection with the incident in the West Sea of Korea.
We support the just and revolutionary stand of the of the Korean People's Army in countering the aggression and provocation of the south Korean colonial fascist puppets wirepulled by the US imperialists.
The US imperialists and south Korean puppets went ahead with the provocative "Hoguk"
exercises despite warnings from the DPRK not to and denunication by the world progressive people.Many warnings were given to the south Korean puppets over a period
of time.
Yonphyong island is an illegal south Korean puppet military base actually within the
territory of the DPRK.The south Korean puppets now admit sheepishly they were the
ones who fired first.We congratulate the Korean People's Army for taking such prompt
action to defend the socialist homeland.It it the Korean Peoples Army that is defending
Juche socialism and the independence and sovereignity of the DPRK.It is a revolutionary
anti imperialist revolutionary armed force and the army of the people,the working class,the
revolution and the Party.The KPA does not just talk but takes resolute action.The KPA
and DPRK say what they mean and mean what they say.

We bitterly condemn the US imperialists,Japanese miltarists and assorted international
imperialist reactionaries for fanning war hysteria and attempting to interferere in the

UK KOREAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION STATEMENT

The UK Korean Friendship Association today issued the following
statement.We note with great concern as friends of Korea the serious
situation that has arisen as a result of the south Korean puppet
provocation yesterday 23rd of November.
The grave situaton is entirely due to the US imperialists and the south
Korean puppets.The news agency Reuters has quoted south Korea as saying
that it did indeed "test fire" before the Korean Peoples Army of the DPRK
launched a retaliatory artillery barrage,this is an admission of
provocation.Any firing in a disputed area at a time of high tension will
invietably be treated as hostile and due countermeasures taken.

The DPRK does not recognise the so called northern limit arbitarily
imposed by the US and south Korean side without agreement from the
DPRK.The island of Yongphyong is actually inside DPRK territory but south
Korea and the US have bases illegally on the island.This is a military
base area so it is unlikely that there are civilians there.The "Hoguk"
exercise was and is an illegal infringement of the DPRK's sovereignity
which the DPRK demanded to be cancelled and our UK KFA also called so be
cancelled.The "Hoguk" exercise was the latest in a series of US and south
Korean military exercises held in Korea.The KPA had repeatedly warned on
many occasions that any provocation
would be met with a powerful counter strike but the south Korean puppets
foolishly chose to ignore such warnings.

The behaviour of the south Korean puppets is like a small child who has
been punished hard for misbehaving but instead of accepting admonishment
has run home crying to its parents. We support the just and correct action
of the DPRK in defence of its independence, sovereignity and socialist
system.We also support the statement issued by the KPA Supreme Command. We
condemn the media in the UK and US and elsewhere for fanning war hysteria
by exaggerating the incident grossly and false reporting.

We call upon the US to halt the deployment of the "USS George Washington"
and stop the Hoguk exercise NOW! before it is too late.

On Friday 19th November our UK KFA mailing list was hacked into and the
settings altered so comments posted went to anyone and everyone on the

Many of these comments consisted of accusations against UK KFA from some
people who claimed that they had never joined,it was nothing to do with
them. Unfortuneatly abusive and heavy language was in some cases.We do
apoligise for inconvenience and distress this may have caused

FIRSTLY, we apoligise to all those who had their inboxes jammed up with
abusive and flippant emails.Steps have been taken to ensure this does not
happen again.
SECONDLY,UK KFA is a pro DPRK organisation.As it says on the website "Defend
the DPR Korea".If you want to have a go at the DPRK for "political
authoritanism" or "anti Americanism" KFA is not the place to do,there are
plenty of other forums for this.

We make no apolegies for "anti Americanism" ,ie criticism of the policies
and actions of the US government,military and ruling quarters but of
course
we are not against individual Americans and ordinary Americans.It is the US
that divided Korea in 1945 and still blocks the indepedent refunification of
Korea.It is the US that unleashed a war in 1950 in a land far far from its
shores and killed in cold blood many Korean people.It is the US that to
this very day that has imposed crippling sanctions on the DPRK.It is the
US that has caused $65 trillion worth of damage to the DPRK since 1945.It
is
the US that has nuclear weapons targetted at the DPRK ,ready to strike at
a moments notice and has on more than 3 occasions actively considered a
nuclear strike against the DPRK.On one of these occasion Winston S

UK Prime Minsister managed to persuade them not to.For all these reasons
we cannot remain silent about the US or sit with folded arms.

KPA Supreme Command Issues Communique
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- The Supreme Command of the Korean
People's Army Tuesday released the following communique:

The south Korean puppet group perpetrated such reckless military
provocation as firing dozens of shells inside the territorial waters of
the DPRK side around Yonphyong Islet in the West Sea of Korea from 13:00
on Nov. 23 despite the repeated warnings of the DPRK while staging the war
maneuvers for a war of aggression on it codenamed Hoguk, escalating the
tension on the Korean Peninsula.

The above-said military provocation is part of its sinister attempt to
defend the brigandish "northern limit line," while frequently infiltrating
its naval warships into the territorial waters of the DPRK side under the
pretext of "intercepting fishing boats."

The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK standing guard over the
inviolable territorial waters of the country took such decisive military
step as reacting to the military provocation of the puppet group with a
prompt powerful physical strike.

It is a traditional mode of counter-action of the army of the DPRK to
counter the firing of the provocateurs with merciless strikes.

Should the south Korean puppet group dare intrude into the territorial
waters of the DPRK even 0.001 mm, the revolutionary armed forces of the
DPRK will unhesitatingly continue taking merciless military
counter-actions against it.

It should bear in mind the solemn warning of the revolutionary armed
forces of the DPRK that they do not make an empty talk.

There is in the West Sea of Korea only the maritime military demarcation
line set by the DPRK

Statement Released by Spokesman of DPRK Foreign Ministry
Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry
Wednesday issued the following statement:

As already reported by the Supreme Command of the KPA, the revolutionary
armed forces of the DPRK on Nov. 23 took a decisive self-defensive measure
to cope with the enemy's reckless military provocation of firing shells
inside the territorial waters of the DPRK side around Yonphyong Islet in
the West Sea of Korea.

The army of the DPRK warned several times that if even a single shell of
the enemy is fired inside the territorial waters of the DPRK, it will take
a prompt retaliatory strike in connection with the live shell firing drill
they planned to stage from Yonphyong Islet while conducting the ill-famed
war maneuvers for a war of aggression against the DPRK codenamed Hoguk.

At 8:00 a.m. on Nov. 23, the very day the incident occurred, the head of
the delegation of the DPRK side to the inter-Korean military talks sent a
telephone message to the head of the delegation of the enemy side once
again strongly urging it to cancel the plan for staging the above-said
firing drill in the waters around the islet, the sensitive waters.

This notwithstanding, the enemy committed such an extremely reckless
military provocation as firing dozens of shells from the islet inside the
territorial waters of the DPRK side from around 13:00.

The enemy fired shells from the islet which is so close to the territory
of the DPRK that it is within each other's eyeshot despite the fact that
there are so many mountains and rivers, sea waters and islets in south
Korea. This powder-reeking saber-rattling cannot be construed otherwise
than a politically motivated provocation.

The enemy is claiming that they fired shells southward from the islet in a
bid not to get on the nerves of the DPRK but Yonphyong Islet is located
deep inside the territorial waters of the DPRK away from the maritime
military demarcation line. If live shells are fired from the islet, they
are bound to drop inside the territorial waters of the DPRK side no matter
in which direction they are fired because of such geographical features.

The ulterior aim sought by the enemy is to create the impression that the
DPRK side recognized the waters off the islet as their "territorial
waters", in case that there was no physical counter-action on the part of
the former.

Herein lies the crafty and vicious nature of the enemy's provocation.

The army of the DPRK took such a self-defensive measure as making a prompt
powerful strike at the artillery positions from which the enemy fired the
shells as it does not make an empty talk.

This incident is one more dangerous development which took place because
of the illegal "northern limit line" unilaterally fixed by Clark, UN
forces commander, as he pleased on Aug. 30, 1953 after the conclusion of
the Korean Armistice Agreement.

The U.S., its followers and some bosses of international bodies should
drop such bad habit as thoughtlessly accusing somebody before learning
about the truth about the incident.

If they shield south Korea, the criminal, without principle, just for
being their ally, this is little short of feeding oil to the fire.

The DPRK that sets store by the peace and stability of the Korean
Peninsula is now exercising superhuman self-control but the artillery
pieces of the army of the DPRK, the defender of justice, remain ready to
fire.
Panmunjom Mission of KPA Sends Notice to U.S. Forces Side
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- As already reported, the south Korean
puppet war-like forces Tuesday committed another grave military
provocation such as firing shells into the territorial waters of the DPRK
side in the West Sea of Korea.

The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK took a prompt and resolute
physical counter-action against the provocateurs who dared fire even
shells into the territorial waters of the DPRK side while staging the
maneuvers for a war of aggression against it codenamed Hoguk.

This once again confirmed the unshakable stand of the army of the DPRK not
to allow even in the least anyone to encroach upon its inviolable
territorial waters.

There came from the U.S. forces side a notice blaming the DPRK under the
absurd charge that the recent shelling took place in the area under its
military control and it was a "violation of the Armistice Agreement."

The Panmunjom Mission of the Korean People's Army today sent the following
notice to the U.S. forces side in connection with its attempt to
misrepresent the incident, while thoughtlessly shielding the south Korean
puppet forces who dared make a preempt shelling at the DPRK:

The south Korean puppet warmongers' firing of shells into the territorial
waters of the DPRK side in the West Sea of Korea on Nov. 23 was a
premeditated and deliberate military provocation from A to Z and a war
action in fact.

On Nov. 22, the south Korean puppet forces made no scruple of announcing
that they would fire shells into the territorial waters of the DPRK side
with artillery pieces they deployed on Yonphyong Island while staging
Hoguk exercises for a war of aggression against the DPRK, straining the
situation on the Korean Peninsula.

In this connection the DPRK side sent a telephone notice to the south
Korean puppet military at 8 a.m. on Nov. 23, strongly urging it to
immediately cancel the plan for firing shells into the territorial waters
of the DPRK side. In the notice the DPRK side seriously warned that if it
paid no heed to this demand, it would face a resolute physical
counter-strike and would be held fully responsible for all the ensuing
consequences.

The south Korean puppet forces, obsessed by hysteria for invasion of the
DPRK, committed such reckless military provocation as preempting the
firing of shells into the territorial waters of the DPRK side in the West
Sea of Korea by mobilizing artillery pieces deployed on Yonphyong Island,
defying the repeated efforts made by the DPRK to prevent military
conflicts and preserve peace and stability in the said waters.

The island, therefore, played the role of an outpost from which a military
provocation was perpetrated against the DPRK and it deserved punishment
meted out by the army of the DPRK according to its self-defensive measure.

The Panmunjom Mission of the KPA in the notice particularly emphasized the
fact that the U.S. forces side, too, is to blame for the incident.

The West Sea of Korea turned into disputed waters always fraught with the
danger of confrontation and clash between the north and the south because
of the illegal "northern limit line" unilaterally fixed by the U.S. inside

Celebrations associated with the 65 anniversary since the founding of the WPK, began on Friday with a Flower Festival in the North Korean capital. Today, the DPRK (North Korea) celebrates the 62 - anniversary of its foundation by the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung. The people of the DPRK call their country "Kim Il Sung Korea."
The history of socialist Korea is a story of constant struggle for independence and an independent course of development, for social and economic progress. This is a grand story of creation, which began from zero, from the day of national liberation on August 15, 1945, and reached at this time, the heights of civilization, culture, education, high-capacity in the economy, science and defence deterrence, achieved in extremely difficult conditions of constant confrontation with the aggressive imperialist world led by the United States. The history of the DPRK is a history of building a socialist state relying only on its own strength, which makes a special tribute to the heroic labour of the people of the DPRK and its leaders - Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il. In the DPRK, everything is placed at the service of the peoples’ masses.
A highly developed society in all respects can be created only when the population is of a high-level of education, with a high degree of availability to each person to enjoy the achievements of human civilization. The first question on the agenda of the young newly born country in 1948 became the organization of public education, universal compulsory education, a network of primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities. As a result of the tremendous work in this direction, the country with a total of 12 people with higher education in August 1945, in a short period of history became a country of universal literacy, where training covers all segments of the population of all ages. Education in the DPRK is provided free: being universal compulsory 11-year, which includes a one-year compulsory pre-school, 4 years of primary and 6-years of secondary education. This system was introduced in 1972. Students of colleges and universities receive a scholarship. Uniforms for school pupils and students are provided free by the state. (And look how much it costs to equip the current first-graders at a school here (in Britain - FB) and in bourgeois Russia, Ukraine and the other now bourgeois republics of the former socialist Soviet Union? And do all the children in those countries have the opportunity to study in school? Education in the former USSR is now gradually becoming fee-paying, not to mention studying at university.) In the DPRK state budget, spending on education is increasing, accounting for a large share of the budget. Education in the DPRK is now coming to the stage of higher education for the entire population.
National cadres, trained by their own strengths, play a leading role in science, economic management and the state ... The DPRK carefully relates to its 5-thousand year old country's history, developing distinctive Korean culture.
A lot of attention is paid by the state and the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) to public health.
Recently, in the sphere of health, a network system of health care based on modern scientific and technological achievements has been established. Computer diagnosis using fiber optics, ensure timely diagnosis of disease and disease prevention by skilled people, even in the most remote areas from the capital of the country.
Housing issues are also always in the spotlight of the Party and State. Everywhere there is construction of new housing and renovation of housing already in use. This concerns not only the capital and cities, but also the counties.
The hailed by the Party slogan of the general offensive on the issue of building a mighty economic power is embodied in the construction of large hydroelectric power stations (for example, Hichhonskaya HES put into operation in just a few months instead of the planned 10 years) in the modernization of production processes based on digital program control in factories and plants, in the introduction into service of new giants of the chemical industry (such as vinalon plant in Hamhung), in applying the new technology of gasification of anthracite in the production of fertilizers at the Namhysk Chemical Association "Youth", in developing new technology for converter smelting of cast iron without the use of coke at the Sonchzhin steel plant. There are many such examples in today's socialist Korea.
It always has been and remains the focus of the Party and the state in providing people with quality food and sturdy household items. Exhibitions of achievements of the national economy for a wide selection and implementation of new high quality products are held. There is continuing large-scale reconstruction of fields in agriculture for the use of mechanical tillage and crop removal, to realize new high-yield varieties of crops. Work widely carried out on the development of fisheries in agricultural cooperatives. The work goes on everywhere with enthusiasm in the wake of a new great revolutionary upsurge in the construction of a powerful socialist nation.
The state ideology of the DPRK is a communist ideology of Juche, the state policy - the policy of Songun. The DPRK is developing intensively.
In recent years, thanks to the development of domestic science in the field of space and nuclear technology, the DPRK launched into space two artificial earth satellites and built a nuclear weapon, becoming a world's nuclear power - a strong deterrent against any machinations of imperialism to wage war on the Korean peninsula, and thus - a third world war .
On appeal in 2009, by the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, the whole nation is taking an active part in the general offensive on the country's transition to the level of a powerful and prosperous power in 2012, the year of the 100 anniversary of the birthday of President Kim Il Sung.
Great work all over the country is being carried out directly under the leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Il, re-elected to the highest post of the DPRK - Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK – on September 3, 2003. His constant travel around the country, to factories, agricultural cooperatives, to military units are evidence of his direct close contact with people, and make him a popular military leader, firmly and confidently leading his country to the heights of socialist advanced nations who are not afraid of any obstacle. It is hard to imagine the DPRK today without Kim Jong Il. He is the brain of the Party and State, an experienced military strategist and a gifted practitioner in the most severe battle against world imperialism, always winning victory in this confrontation between unequal forces. His work, successes in the development of the country, and its prestige in the international arena speak of the authority and majesty of the Leader. Therefore, the people assigning him the status as - Great - is recognition of his contribution in leading the state and concern for the welfare of the people.
We congratulate Kim Jong Il, on the 62-anniversary of the forming of the DPRK by Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung. On this auspicious occasion, we congratulate the leading staff of the Korean revolution and the heroic Korean people.
We also congratulate Kim Jong Il, on the the 7-th anniversary of his re-election to the highest state post in the DPRK - Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.
On September 22, 1949 untimely passed away the wife and close friend of Kim Il Sung, the mother of Kim Jong Il, anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk.

Regarding another provocative military-political fuss and saber-rattling by the U.S. near the borders of the DPRK

From 25 June to 27 July, traditionally in the DPRK and a number of countries that support the independent and autonomous political and economic policy of the DPRK is conducted a Month of Solidarity in joint struggle against American imperialism. June 25, 1950 – was the beginning of the Fatherland Liberation War of the Korean people under the leadership of the great general Kim Il Sung against the U.S. armed forces and the armed forces of their satellites. July 27 – marks the victory of the Korean people in this terrible massacre against the armed with the latest military equipment U.S. aggressors who wanted to end the DPRK as a sovereign socialist state. That was the first time the Americans in its entire period of existence lost a military campaign in disgrace. It ended with the signing of a truce, and not a peace treaty between the DPRK and the U.S., because North Korea and South Korea, whose territory still has many thousands of U.S. troops, and technically the United States is actually still at war with the DPRK (North Korea). Korea, due to the Americans was divided along the 38 th parallel into two states. A NATION is divided and is eager for reunification. Numerous appeals by the leadership of DPRK to the leaders of the United States over the past 57 years to sign a peace agreement have been fully rejected. Perhaps the U.S. can never forgive itself for the shame of defeat from a small newly born socialist country in North-East Asia. Probably, the Americans still cherish the hope to gain revenge for the long-standing defeat, and every year with manic urgency several times a year near the borders of Korea, organize a demonstration of its military power, together with its loyal subjects "allies."
Here and now near the borders of North Korea is a demonstration of intimidation against the DPRK.
From July 25 in the Sea of Japan are being held for a period of 4 days, a joint large-scale military "exercise" by the U.S. and South Korea. The nuclear aircraft carrier George Washington and 20 other ships and submarines of the U.S. Navy, as well as 100 aircraft and 8,000 troops are taking part. The second stage of the "exercises" will be held in the Yellow Sea. Robert Gates (Secretary of Defense) called these exercises "an open letter for the DPRK, with the demand to renounce nuclear weapons." Such increased aggressiveness and arrogance by U.S. officials due to the use of false pretext against North Korea - the provocative sinking by the armed forces of the USA of the South Korean warship Cheonan, which the unprovenly falsely accused North Korea of doing.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the new sanctions by the U.S. and saber rattling are "primarily directed against the North Korean leadership and its assets." The U.S. "aims to isolate the leadership of the DPRK to apply pressure on it and force North Korea to stop the development of its nuclear energy".
The visit by Hillary Clinton, along with Robert Gates, to the border post in Panmundzhon and the viewing of North Korean positions in binoculars is clearly provocative.
The statements by Clinton and Gates that the new (stifling) sanctions against North Korea – “will not affect the population of North Korea, but that they are directed against the North Korean authorities," sound beyond naive and even foolish, and suggest a profound misunderstanding of the essence of socialist Korean society.
The weakening by the day "great power" America does not want to take into account the monolithic unity of the leaders and people of the DPRK which is stronger than any weapon that can not be separated from one another, and that every citizen of the DPRK is ready to give their life in defense of the Korean revolution and personally its Supreme Commander Comrade Kim Jong Il. So hysterical another show of force by the United States near the borders of the DPRK only shows the historical unconscious of Americans who shamefully lost the Korean War in 1950-1953. Apparently HISTORY has taught nothing to the ambitious dirty sack full of fake worthless green papers, soiled by blood and sweat of those who are robbed by the U.S. constantly and everywhere around the world. Americans are also afraid of the future inevitability of the unification of the Korean nation as a weakening of its bridgehead in Northeast Asia. And the rising giant in the third world - IRAN – is making the United States very worried. Not without reason during the international World Cup football hysteria, the Americans quietly pulled into the Mediterranean huge armed forces, but still not decided to start a military conflict. Therefore, with frenzied rage they attack the DPRK, struggling to set alight the wick of a fire of a world nuclear carnage on the Korean peninsula. The only thing stopping them is the possession by the DPRK of its own nuclear weapons as a powerful deterrent to any aggressor.
We, the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, sincerely wish our brotherly people of the DPRK success in all their tasks of socialist construction, as well as a swift solution on reunification of the Korean nation.
We firmly believe, dear Korean friends, in YOUR successes, in YOUR monolithic UNITY and a swift powerful rebuff to any aggressor.

AUCPB on the sinking of Cheonan

AT THE FOREFRONT OF THE STRUGGLE AGAINST U.S. IMPERIALISM

Speech made by A.A. Mayevsky at a meeting with a delegation of the Korean Association of Social Sciences (KASS) Abridged

Dear Comrades! We, Ukrainian Bolsheviks, members of the CC Ukraine Buro of the AUCPB, have been closely following the events surrounding the Korean Peninsula, and the escalating of tensions by the South Korean authorities, headed by the traitorous puppet regime of Lee Myung-bak and the standing behind him U.S. in connection with the sinking of the corvette Cheonan of the puppet Navy in South Korea on March 26, 2010 which for some unknown reason, broke in two and sank in the coastal waters between the islands and Peknendo and Techondo on the Korean west sea.
The so-called International Investigation established by the authorities of South Korea on May 20 issued a "report on the results of the joint investigation”, which announced to the world the “version of the torpedo attack by North Korea" that the corvette Cheonan sank as a result of a torpedo attack by the DPRK.
In the Commentary of the military observer newspaper “Rodong Sinmun" dated May 27, the true picture of this "torpedo attack by the DPRK” was revealed and shown that this version is an absurd fabrication by the south Korean traitorous clique and is aimed at worsening relations between the DPRK and South Korea that plays into the hands of aggressive imperialist USA.
The area where the Cheonan went down is a disputed area between the North and the South, the south Korean authorities themselves bragging that double-and triple-detection systems and controls have established here. And, despite this, they invented the version of events that a small North Korean submarine rounded the peninsula, went undetected by the Cheonan which was then struck by a torpedo weighing 1.7 tons, whereas such a submarine can only carry a torpedo weighing no more then 300 kg. It should be noted that during this period this area of the sea was crowded with a variety of corvettes, submarines and air reconnaissance means participating in the joint US-South Korean military exercise "Foal Eagle" which had reached its peak by that time. Evidence suggests that the wreck of the Cheonan had deviated from its regular route, and despite the risk of collision with underwater rocks, it had entered into an area only 25 meters deep, and that after the incident, all the survivors of the Cheonan were ordered to stay quiet. They were also forbidden to use mobile phones and meet with other people, not to publish the logbook, or records of communication and photographic materials. As a result of the sinking of the “Cheonan" 46 young sailors were killed who had drowned in their underwear, and yet, all the officers on the corvette managed to monopolise the lifeboats and jackets and jumped into the sea, as if they knew in advance of an impending sinking of the ship.
The version sucked from a finger about a torpedo attack by a North Korean submarine has been thrown into doubt, even by the South Korean media, which say that not only the corvette “Cheonan” went down, but also the “Lee Myung-bak government."
With its provocation by the sinking of the corvette Cheonan and blaming the North Korean side, the regime of Lee Myung-bak almost brought the North and South of Korea to the brink of war.
"Such actions by the clique of traitors - as noted in the announcement by the General Staff of the Korean People's Army on May 29, 2010 - are an act of total denunciation of the historic Joint Declaration of the North and South of 15 June 2000, which is a common achievement of the entire Korean nation, and the implementation of its program - the Declaration of the North and South from October 4, 2007. These actions are also very serious crimes, pushing inter-Korean relations to a state of war ".
The South Korean rulers refused to accept the inspection group of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK to determine the true cause of the sinking of the corvette Cheonan, fearing exposure of their filthy-gutter slander.
All this has been done with one aim in mind - to prevent the reunification of the Korean people, divided by the 38 th parallel as a result of the occupation of south Korea by U.S. forces after the Second World War. The U.S. and their puppets suffered a severe defeat in the war against the DPRK of 1950-1953, which was the Fatherland Liberation War of the Korean people, but they managed to keep the artificial division of Korea on the 38 th parallel, and to continue the occupation of the South, turning the Korean Peninsula into the largest nuclear arsenal in the Far East.
The U.S. are also displeased with the independent policy pursued by the people of the DPRK under the leadership of the WPK headed by outstanding leader of our time, Comrade Kim Jong Il, a policy aimed both at building a prosperous socialist society in the DPRK and the reunification of the Korean nation into one state.
O June 15, 2000 between North and South Korea the historic Joint Declaration was signed and on October 4, 2007 - Declaration of the North and South as a program for implementing the Joint Declaration. A merging between North and South had begun, along with the resumption of dialogue between citizens and separated families, etc.
To stop the process of closer ties, Lee Myung-bak, the president of South Korea a few years ago, with the full complicity and support of the United States was "elected" (in fact, placed into the presidential chair by his U.S. masters). He is a puppet ruler of South Korea, conducting pro-American policies, policies against the fundamental interests of the Korean people for their unification.
It is the DPRK and Cuba, despite the temporary defeat of socialism in the USSR and Eastern Europe that have remained loyal to their socialist choice and pursue an independent foreign and internal policy, without submitting to the dictates of the United States.
This example of two freedom-loving peoples really annoys the U.S. imperialists who are committing all types of provocations, in order bring the Korean and Cuban people to their knees.
The provocation over the sinking of the Cheonan serves this purpose.
The U.S. seeks to completely control the situation in this region of the world and to “turn Japan and South Korea into more obedient servants," says the press statement by the representative of the DPRK Foreign Ministry on May 29.
"If the south Korean puppets commit the slightest provocation against the DPRK, - notes the commentary of the military observer newspaper Rodong Sinmun on 27 May - the DPRK will immediately respond with devastating retaliation, and thereby build a unified Korea, which will eliminate any kind of dregs of humanity and where a united prosperous powerful nation will live."
We wish the people of the DPRK under the leadership of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il with honour to face this challenge and achieve their cherished dream - the reunification of the Korean nation into a powerful and prosperous state.

Workers are looking for a way out of the crisis in the rise of the strike struggle for their rights.
And the imperialists - in starting another war and conflict, are creating all sorts of provocations. Anger and indignation throughout the world by military action of Israel's attack on the “freedom flotilla", which sought to deliver humanitarian supplies to the Palestinian people of Gaza, for a few years already under the Israeli blockade. 9 people, as a result of this barbaric action by the armed to the teeth aggressive militarism of Israel (which has nuclear weapons), were killed and dozens injured.
The artificial crisis and tension in connection with the sinking of the South Korean puppet corvette "Cheonan, the belligerent rhetoric of U.S. President Barack Obama, contributed to, including and the fall of the Japanese Cabinet of Ministers led by Yukio Hatoyama, who said that he was resigning, as he unable to fulfil his election promise of moving U.S. military base from Okinawa. The U.S. are here too trying to impose on their Japanese and South Korean allies governments that are more flexible and convenient for U.S. imperialism.

Concluding my brief remarks, once again I want to note that the strong position of the leadership the DPRK headed by the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, the mighty forces of the DPRK, equipped with nuclear weapons of defence as a result of the Songun policy (the policy of priority in military affairs, the policies formulated by the Great Leader Kim Il Sung, and developed further in the writings and practices of the Great Leader Kim Jong Il, which corresponds to Lenin's conclusion that every revolution is only worth anything if it can defend itself), is certainly cooling the belligerence of the South Korean and U.S. military.
Today the people of the DPRK, as well the people of Cuba are at the forefront of the struggle of workers throughout the world for their liberation from imperialist bondage.
We wish the Korean people, the Workers' Party of Korea led by the Great Kim Jong Il, further success in this struggle.
